BEFORE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
ORDER
APPROVING QUARTERLY COST ADJUSTMENT TARIFF
Issue Date: February 15, 2013 Effective Date: March 1, 2013
The Missouri Public Service Commission is approving the pending tariff sheet (“tariff”), which sets forth the quarterly cost adjustment (“QCA”) for the third quarter of 2012 for KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company (“GMO”).
On January 14, 2013, GMO filed the tariff.
On February 14, 2013, Staff filed its recommendation,
stating that the tariff meets the requirements of GMO’s tariff sheets 6.6
through 6.10. Staff recommends that the
Commission approve the proposed tariff. The
Commission received no other response to the tariff.[1]
No law requires a hearing to approve the unopposed tariff, so the Commission will determine all issues as a non-contested
case, based on the verified pleadings[2] and without separately stating its findings
of fact.
The
Commission independently finds and concludes that the tariff complies with GMO’s
tariff sheets 6.6 through 6.10, and will support safe and adequate service at just
and reasonable rates, so the Commission will approve the tariff. The tariff
bears a proposed effective date less than 30 days from the date of this order’s
issuance. That fact, and absence of
opposition to the tariff, constitutes good cause for this order to be effective less than 30 days from
issuance. [3]
THE COMMISSION ORDERS THAT:
1. Tariff No. YH-2013-0318 is approved to become effective on March 1, 2013.
2. The tariff sheet approved is:
P.S.C. MO. No. 1
15th
Revised Sheet No. 6.10, Canceling 14th Revised Sheet No. 6.10
3. This order shall become effective on March 1, 2013.
