STATE OF
PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
At a session of the Public Service Commission held at its office in Jefferson City on the 13th day of February, 2013.
In the Matter of Laclede Gas Company’s Filing )
of Revised Tariffs to Increase its Annual ) File
No. GR-2013-0171
Revenues for Natural Gas ) Tariff No. YG-2013-0292
ORDER
REGARDING RECOMMENDED PROCEDURAL SCHEDULE
Issue Date: February 13, 2013 Effective Date: February 13, 2013
On February 5, 2013 the parties submitted a recommended procedural schedule to the Commission. The parties suggest evidentiary hearing dates of August 19 -28, with initial briefs being filed by September 26 and the case finally submitted to the Commission with reply briefs being filed on October 4. Thereafter the Commission must issue a report and order, and Laclede Gas Company must file tariff sheets in compliance with that report and order.
Because it wishes to conclude the rate-making process well before the eleven-month operation-of-law date of November 21, 2013, the Commission intends to issue its report and order no later than its Agenda Session on October 16. According to the schedule recommended by the parties, the Commission would have only 12 days, or two Agenda Sessions, to review the submitted case and issue its final report and order. This is not feasible.
The Commission will therefore direct the parties to refile a
procedural schedule with evidentiary hearing dates of August 1-16 as set out in
the Commission’s December 27, 2012 order,[1]
and with the parties submitting final briefs no later than September 27,
2013.
THE COMMISSION ORDERS THAT:
1. The evidentiary hearing will be held on August 1-16, 2013.
2. The parties shall file a suggested procedural schedule around the evidentiary hearing dates ordered above.
3. Final briefs shall be filed no later than September 27, 2013.
4. This order shall become effective upon issuance.
