ORDER PROVIDING NOTICE, ORDER ESTABLISHING TIME FOR RESPONSE AND ORDER DIRECTING STAFF RECOMMENDATION

On February 7, 2013, Kansas City Power & Light Company (“KCP&L”) asked the Commission to grant it variances from certain requirements of the Commission’s Integrated Resource Planning Rule, 4 CSR 240-22.  KCP&L asks the Commission to extend the date for filing its 2013 Annual Update Report and its 2013 Annual Update Workshop by three months.  KCP&L also asks for a variance from the Commission rules requiring RTO expansion plan analysis specific to Missouri customers.

The Commission will allow time for potentially interested parties to respond to KCP&L’s request, and will order a Staff Recommendation.

THE COMMISSION ORDERS THAT:

1.       The Commission’s Data Center shall mail a copy of this order to all parties to Kansas City Power & Light Company’s previous IRP case, EO-2012-0323.

2.       The Staff of the Commission shall file a Recommendation or, in the alternative, a Status Report stating when it plans to file its Recommendation, no later than February 21, 2013.

3.       Any other party wishing to respond shall do so no later than February 21, 2013.

4.       This order shall become effective immediately upon issuance.
