On February 1, 2012, Virgin Mobile USA, L.P. branded Wireless
Brought to You By Virgin Mobile (“Virgin Mobile”) requested designation by the
Missouri Public Service Commission (“Commission”) as an eligible
telecommunications carrier for the purpose of providing prepaid wireless
services in Missouri supported by the federal Universal Service Fund’s Lifeline
program. On January 29, 2013, the Staff
of the Commission filed a recommendation to grant the ETC designation, subject
to three conditions. The Commission will
direct Virgin Mobile to file a response addressing the three conditions in the Staff
recommendation.
THE COMMISSION
ORDERS THAT:
1. Virgin Mobile shall respond to the Staff recommendation, specifically addressing the three conditions set out therein, no later than February 13, 2013.
2. This order shall become effective immediately upon issuance.
