On November 30, 2012, Intermedia Voice Services, Inc. filed an
Application with the Missouri Public Service Commission for
registration to offer and provide interconnected voice over Internet service.
The Application filed by Intermedia did not contain an attorney’s signature licensed to practice law in Missouri or any other state, or the signer’s street address, telephone number, facsimile number and electronic e-mail address. Pursuant to 4 CSR 240-2.040(5), pleadings filed with the Commission must be signed by at least one attorney of record authorized to practice law in Missouri. In addition, the affidavit attached to the application failed to provide the exchanges in which the company proposed to provide VoIP service, pursuant to §392.550.3(2), RSMo Cum. Supp. 2011.
On December 5, 2012, the Commission issued a Notice of Deficiency allowing the company to correct the deficiency by December 28, 2012. No response was filed. Thus, the Application filed on November 30, 2012, is rejected by the Commission and this case will be closed.
THE COMMISSION ORDERS THAT:
1. The Application filed by Intermedia Voice Services, Inc. on November 30, 2012, is rejected.
2. This order shall become effective upon issuance.
3. This case may be closed.
