ORDER DIRECTING FILING

Issue Date: December 5, 2012 Effective Date: December 5, 2012

The Commission directed the regulated electric utilities to file responses to a series of questions regarding their cybersecurity efforts. Additionally, the Commission held an On-the-Record Proceeding to aid in its investigation into these efforts. Now that these initial inquires are complete, the Commission will direct its Staff to file a comprehensive report summarizing the utilities’ efforts and responses. Staff will also be required to provide the Commission with its recommendations on how the Commission should proceed with this matter to ensure the utilities are adequately protecting their critical infrastructure.

THE COMMISSION ORDERS THAT:

1. No later than January 7, 2013, the Commission’s Staff shall file the report and recommendations delineated in the body of this order. The report shall be designated as highly confidential.

2. This order shall become effective immediately upon issuance.
